Leelee Sobieski and Paul Telfer in HERCULES (2005)

Telfer is, cough, Hercules. I've heard of this TV production but never seen it and honestly I have no desire in seeing it. From Steve Reeves and Sylva Koscina to this? Yikes.

No. It wasn't half-bad. The guy was a little short to play a big guy like Herc would have been, but he certainly made up for it in the muscle department. The storyline kept Zeus completely out of the picture, rather he was the son of a big and strong criminal but was adopted by the king of the land. He saw his real dad lift up a horse with his bare hands and throw it down and this gave him the idea to train himself by lifting a colt every day and as the horse grew so would he get stronger as the horse got heavier. By the time he was a young man he could lift a mature horse for reps. Impressive.

But this Herc was at no time ever a Demi-God. What more can I say?

Leelee Sobieski was the best part of this movie, otherwise very forgettable. They tinkered with the HERCULES LEGEND and believe me they screwed it up!!!
