Hercules roller coaster ride

Hercules was a wooden roller coaster at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown, Pennsylvania. It was in operation from 1989 to 2003. Apparently the ride was too rough and people didn't like it. Ironically it was replaced by a ride called Hydra the Revenge. I don't know exactly why but I find this funny. Ah the dream of an all Peplum amusement park.

HERCULES was a very fast & very rough roller coaster . It did last awhile and I think a lot of the people were more scared of it than anything the first drop for a wooden coaster like this was very steep. When the park was sold to that outfit from Ohio they changed everything around and added many coasters. Hydra was one of them, but they added Steel Force first drop over 215 ft. this should of been named HERCULES this coaster is huge. How do I know this ? I live less then 40 miles from park & have been there numerous times. I didn't like the Hydra that wasn't for me.
