PEPLUM Recycling

The soldier uniform from THEODORA - SLAVE EMPRESS (1954) was recycled 11 years later in SEVEN REBEL GLADIATORS (below; 1965). Those uniforms were also used in GOLIATH & THE SINS OF BABYLON but I didn't bother showing it as that film directly lifts big scenes from THEODORA and re-edited them with the new cast.

The servant's garb seen in SON OF SPARTACUS (1962) was reused in SWORD OF DAMASCUS (below; 1964)

This seemed to be very common in EURO PEPS, but they did the same thing in Hollywood also. I think that you brought this to our attention and I mentioned that THE TEN COMMANDMENTS & THE EYGPTIAN used the same costumes and a lot of the sets. It was cost cutting and kept the production within it's cash limits.

True. Hollywood also recycled their stuff.

Hollywood can never get better than those old time favorites. They are the foundation of what you call movie industry today.
