PEPLUM PUBLIC DISCUSSION
Comments are open in this post. You have something to mention about this week's posts? Or something else. This is the only place you can voice your opinion. Comments are curated therefore any bad comment won't be published! Be respectful! This is just a test (as I mentioned in the comments post last week).

Great idea (and solution?) to have comments curated this way!
I agree. In the image of the week are those the same shields carried by most of the Trojans in the "Fury of Achilles" [1962]? The latter is a personal favorite
PTownneal, yes it is. As for the shields. Yes, the shields in the Image of the week of MACISTE AGAINST HERCULES IN THE VALE OF WOE are seen in FURY OF ACHILLES but I believe those shields appeared first in THE MINOTAUR with a different colour but same design.
I used to compile the shields in movies under a permanent page. I've relaunched it. Check the side menu for the direct link.
Really tickled by your latest post on The Pirate and the Slave Girl! I love finding "new" peplum/adventure flicks I've never heard of, especially ones with underserved bad raps. Your blog has provided plenty of them over the years, thank you.
I see if I have the time this weekend. I caught the 'Fury of Achilles' over MLK day weekend so I remembered. Thanks for the tip.
Jerrold, I'm glad to be at service.
The collection of shields is very useful. The Egyptian shields from Solomon and Sheba appear to have been repainted and used again as Roman shields in King of Kings with Jeffrey Hunter.
