By the Gods!

Cameron Mitchell and Isabelle Corey in THE LAST OF THE VIKINGS (1961)

This is the ending to the film. A very entertaining movie. There were a bunch of Viking films made during this period and this is one of the best. Fighting scenes from this were also re-used in THE NORMANS. Mitchell made tons of films in Europe. As for Isabelle, her career lasted about 5 years before retiring from acting.

Isabelle Corey turned in consistently good performances in both French and Italian movies. Sadly she died at the relatively young age of 71 from cancer.

Her films included APHRODITE GODDESS OF LOVE, THE INVINCIBLE GLADIATOR, THE LAST OF THE VIKINGS, HEAD OF A TYRANT, LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT, IT HAPPENED IN ROME, AND GOD CREATED WOMAN, and BOB LE FLAMBEUR.

May she R.I.P.

I really enjoy this movie too, with Mitchell giving a spirited performance. Of course, it has zilch to do with my Norse ancestors, either in the design of stuff or the traditions and attitudes in the film, but that has nothing to do with anything.
