If there's one PEPLUM movie I thought would be available in HD early on, it's this one. And yet here we are and it's still not available in HD. With a proper transfer, this movie will look amazing in HD, certainly this scene, which, in my view, is one of the top scenes of the PEPLUM genre.

I love it too. At some point this film along with Warrior and the Slave Girl and Legions of the Nile were chosen for restoration and showed up on Italian DVD as part of a series. They all look great but aren't anamorphic.
This is a very good movie with excellent sets. I would love to see this in widescreen. The disc I have is inept and very grainy. While I'm here I just got my 2 dvds from ZUES out of Florida. MORGAN THE PIRATE I watched and low and behold it is a transfer from TCM.com. The transfer is quite good and the color is outstanding. The only beef I really have is that at the beginning of the credits missing is Steve's name and the name of the movie, but then every thing is intact. The movie starts off in widescreen during the credits , but eventually goes to fullscreen. I am happy as this one of my favorites. WARRIOR EMPRESS I really did not delve into yet, but it might be from you!!! I'll let you know soon. The total cost for both was $19.99 before tax the shipping was free.
