PEPLUM Cinema

Cool photo of a cinema showing TRIUMPH OF MACISTE...there are a lot of odd things in this (the lion...) but it's nice to see an old theatre showing an Italian Sword & Sandal.

I remember when THE SLAVE & CAPTAIN SINBAD played at our local theater when I was young they had a large stand-up display of both movies in the theater lobby. I also remember for BEN HUR & HANNIBAL. I think this helped bring more people in to see the movies. Most of the movies they showed & especially the epics had these large displays.

I found this on the cinema itself (http://cinematreasures.org/theaters/58023). It was called Cinechoc during 1963-1966.
On the board from what I can tell:

1. Maciste + ??? + ???
2. ????? (maybe La Fureur d'Hercule)
3. Maciste contre le Cyclope
4. Les 7 Gladiateurs
5. Rome contre Rome
6. ????? (maybe Hercule l'invincible)
7. Le Triomphe de Maciste

The above films were released 1961-64.
