Mimmo Palmara looks good in this photo. He was a stalwart in PEPLUM movies and Westerns.

indeed...it's sorta ashamed he was typecast as a villain in most films.

I love Mimmo and nice to see he is still with us. He was such a terrible actor that I never believed the characters he played were really evil. Like it just wasn't in him to be bad. What a gorgeous man, then and now.

I just now was watching a documentary interview of him that I downloaded with "A Long Ride From Hell."

Here is what he says about playing the villain, from the subtitles file:

"I've aIways enjoyed playing the bad guy more than the hero in any movie, not only the westerns,
because, in my opinion, it's the bad guy who really builds up character and makes the good guy stand out.

Generally speaking, the good guy only has to look good and he doesn't have to be a great actor.

On the other hand the antagonist
has to build up the character
and deveIoping a roIe is what gives
most satisfaction to a professional actor. That's why I've always preferred to play the bad guy.

On a few occasions when they offered me the protagonist's role in a movie, I'd read the script and say I'd rather play his enemy."
