By the Gods!

Eva Green as Artemisia in 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE (2014)

Will there be a third film in the 300 series? The sequel wasn't as successful as the first but it still made mucho money. Does anyone actually like this film? I didn't mind it. In fact, imo, there were a couple of improvements over the first, over-the-top film. But my main problem with this sequel was Eva Green. I never believed her character for one second. She acted way too modern. There was nothing about her behaviour, look, etc. which evoked of a time long past. In simpler terms, her acting irked me. In comparison, Lena Headey as Queen Gorgo, is enigmatic and excellent. It's a shame because even if the film was entirely shot in a studio setting, with CGI as background, I didn't dislike it as much as I thought I would. Below: Eva with Sullivan Stapleton. She looks like she's ready for a night on the town.

If you look at the paintings of Clytemnestra by the Victorian artist John Collier, Eva would be ideal for the role.
