Jesus (Claude Heater) crucified in BEN-HUR (1959)
It was traditional for films featuring Jesus to keep his face hidden. I sorta understand that. What actor can be pious enough to play Jesus? Though there were films made during the silents era which showed Jesus, more modern films like KING OF KINGS and THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD broke that tradition once and for all.
