Sophia Loren is photographed relaxing in a chariot while filming THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE. I don't think Sophia even smiles during the entire (very long) film.
THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE is a real disappointment, especially considering the acting talent and $$$$ that went into it.
The film is way too long, and its title is quite misleading. The Roman Empire lasted for about three centuries following the death of Emperor Marcus Aurelius in 180 AD.
