RIP: Giorgia Moll

Two big PEPLUM stars recently passed away. The number of actors and actresses who worked in PEPLUM movies is dwindling fast. 

Anyway, here's the tribute and rundown of Giorgia's roles. 

Giorgia Moll

Giorgia only starred in a handful of PEPLUM movies, most notably two Steve Reeves movies, THE WHITE WARRIOR (1959) and THE THIEF OF BAGHDAD (1961; above). She died on 2 June at the age of 88. She was wonderful in THE THIEF OF BAGHDAD. Thank you, Giorgia!


NERO'S BIG WEEKEND (1956)

THE WHITE WARRIOR (1959)

After THE WHITE WARRIOR, THE COSSACKS was her next major role. She co-starred with John Drew Barrymore (below)

COLOSSUS AND THE AMAZON QUEEN (1960)

Giorgia had a small role in this fun comedy of the sexes. 

THE THIEF OF BAGHDAD (1961)

In what is definitely her best role, and film, Giorgia starred in THE THIEF OF BAGHDAD starring Steve Reeves. It's a wonderful film full of magic.
