By the Gods!

Marco polo (Rory Calhoun) greets Grand Khan (Camillo Pilotto), his daughter, Princess Amurroy (Yôko Tani), and the evil henchman Mongka (Claudio Undari) in MARCO POLO (1962)

Colorful adventure of the often filmed but rarely successful adaptation of Marco Polo's travels into China. Production values remind me of SAMSON & THE 7 MIRACLES OF THE WORLD. I have a gorgeous copy in Italalian and a muddy copy in English. I'd love to do a Fan Dub of this but the audio track of the English copy is poor. Rory looks better in this than in COLOSSUS OF RHODES.

The big budget Netflix "Marco Polo" was a major disappointment, thereby tending to prove your observation that Marco Polo does not make for good film material.

Lots of female nudity in the Netflix serial (presumably in imitation of Starz's "Spartacus") showed that T&A by itself cannot turn a pig's ear into a silk purse.

The 1938 "Adventures of Marco Polo" with Gary Cooper, Sigrid Gurie (in "yellowface") and Basil Rathbone is good fun in a very campy way.
