I really liked the scene where Hercules, to preserve the life of a young maiden, allowed himself to be chained up for two weeks without eating, which must have weakened him a great deal. Even so, when told that the aforementioned maiden was not safe as promised, Hercules was urged to break his chains and lay waste upon Rome, or wherever he was at the time. He tried, but even Hercules couldn't break the chains right off. Then, he tried again and with a supreme effort snapped the metal and left the prison. Three weeks might have been too much for even him, probably.
