By the Gods!

Marcellus Gallio (Richard Burton) is haunted by the crucifixion of Jesus in THE ROBE (1953)

The first studio film shot and released in CinemaScope! A classic film. Since Easter weekend is upon us, I'll wish a happy Easter weekend to all of those who are believers, followers (and also non-believers)!

(You'd think this film would be the one they'd show every year on TV and not THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, which is about Moses and not Jesus. Oh well...)

HAPPY EASTER!!! This movie is a classic and I can remember seeing it as a young boy with the rest of the family.

Passover is also this time of year which may be why they show The Ten Commandments.

It's a pity but, here, nor Quo Vadis nor Demetrius were aired this year, the most were new, lack of misticism, movies (!?). This is one of the best scenes from this movie, along with Marcellus' nightmare on the galley (Were you... out there?), the fight between Marcellus and centurion Paulus and, certainly, the end with Marcellus and Diana walking into the skies (don't forget the best Caligula ever seen, Jay Robinson) Well, all the film is great!
