An interesting and mysterious increase in views.
Early last year when the blog got huge spike increases in views, this was followed by the blog being shadow-banned by Google. Hopefully nothing of the sort happens again.
Do you also see a corresponding increase in the number of comments to your posts? It's surprising that there aren't more comments from people on the different platforms, given that PeplumTV gets so many views. I'm a regular visitor and comment poster (my way of showing my appreciation for this cool blog).
The blog was shadow banned because I was linking the blog to MagCloud, the publisher of BY THE GODS! magazine. When the magazine is not being publicized the views go up and remain up. Blogger/Google are very bizarre. They don't like it when I link to MagCloud.
The comments thing is one of the most bizarre aspects of my blog since the beginning of it. The comments have always been low but the views are high. I guess most are lurkers. I know that a lot of people steal my content, like the did with my Youtube channels. I'll write about that soon. When I alert about a new Blu-ray and things like that, like my collection, views go up and up. But no comments. Years ago I created a forum and no one show up. The comments are exceptionally low here. It's very frustrating. lol! I know a lot of people dislike me and my opinions from my interactions with them in the past mostly on Facebook but they still come here for the info and ideas, or images. Like I said it's very bizarre.
There's a sizeable group of people out there who are not happy about the blog and magazine success. I do my thing and that's it. Most of them rarely engaged in anything I do or did. The ONLY time they leave comments is: 1) for a correction or 2) some mumbo jumbo nonsense. So I don't follow them on Facebook or blocked them. When I started the blog 15 years ago there was literally nothing on the PEPLUM genre which is one of the reasons why I started it. And it's been popular since day one. But this group believes I encroached on their territory even though they were obscure to say the least. I didn't even seen them until they contacted me or followed me. It's all weird.
If I keep to myself and don't visit them or view their content, they can't claim that I'm taking their ideas. It's one way of protecting my work. By not associating with them. It's a sad part of the situation but the blog is far and above the most popular site for all things PEPLUM, even after 15 years.
