New Steve Reeves figurine
A new detailed figurine of Steve Reeves of the scene when he pulls down the columns at the end of HERCULES (1958) will be available to buy. Below is the creator. A replica of Sylva Koscina will also be created in the near future. Pretty cool. According to David (Facebook), the website 'MONSTERS IN MOTION' will be selling the kit.

Very cool indeed.
This got me thinking further about all things peplum; we have seen comics and animation, but I was wondering about puppetry plays on film. You see, I've been revisiting and enjoying my childhood Thunderbirds series in 'Supermarionation' and I think how cool it would have been to have had something related to peplum/Greek mythology etc. Obviously you could not have staged it with a cast of thousands.
There are some interesting youtube clips where they use marionettes staging the play Antigone which reminds me of Japanese bunraku theatre. As with shadow puppet plays, voice characterisation and music are very important for their success.
