Lou Ferrigno is Sinbad in SINBAD OF THE SEVEN SEAS.
This film puts the bad in SINBAD. The film had a long history of production problems so it's no wonder it ended up like it did. The photography was good though.

Belgian poster for I PIOMBI DI VENEZIA
A very rare, impossible to find early PEPLUM/Swashbuckler starring perennial genre star Massimo Serato. Gary has been communicating with me with rare difficult stuff impossible to find from the genre and this is one of them. The Italian is untranslatable but the Belgian title here, LE PRISONNIER DE VENISE is easy to figure out: THE PRISONER OF VENICE. The French title translates as THE EXECUTIONER OF VENICE. That title already exists as a Lex Barker actioned made in the 1960s. The film's production manager was Vittorio Cottafavi who later on directed many famous films of the genre. The poster includes all the trademark genre elements.

Vittorio Gassman, as Sahak, is about to kill one of his opponents in BARABBAS
Sahak refuses to kill other men which results in tragedy. Vittorio was the most sympathetic character in this somewhat overblown epic. His character was a bit too Christ-like but every time he was on screen he eclipsed Anthony Quinn.
Colosseum to come alive again 2,000 years after the gladiators
They're cleaning up and reinforcing the Colosseum for cultural events to be held in and around the historic arena. The cost for the restoration is 25 million Euros.

Nice production and cast but like all Vittorio Cottafavi films the tone of the story shifts from super seriousness to goofy slapstick comedy. Someone wrote in a PEPLUM book that this was one of the best PEPLUM films ever made. Hmm...it's good but definitely not the greatest.
