Forget history,and action was alright. Yul was one of my favorite actors when I was growing up and I thought he did an admiral job with sloppy script. 60's hairdos, very bad wigs what more do you want, and they never built the right size pyramid anyway. Musical score was not bad at all. Photography was sweeping. Director J Lee Thompson did much better films. Chakiris and Shirley Anne Field are both so expressionless they are practically zombies - Brynner seems to be over-acting by comparison, and she seems the only woman in the whole tribe, and yes that small pyramid they fight over!
