HD Alert!

Not a new release but there's a Japanese Blu-ray of ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA (1972) starring Charlton Heston and Hildegarde Neil (below).

The info at Amazon.jp says the runtime is 2 hours and 28 minutes, or 148 minutes. From my rundown of all the different versions of this I made last year, this one sounds different. Does anyone have it? It has the English track.

That is the same running time as the U.S. Blu-ray. The full version runs 160 minutes. I read that Fraser Heston (Charlton's son) has the elements for this film and only the shorter version is in good shape.
Although not widescreen, the Embassy VHS tape was the full version.

As I stated in the post, I already made Different Versions last year of this movie. The US Twilight Time is 2 hr 35 m or 155 minutes. So the Japanese BD runtime is not the same as the US BD. The Embassy video is part of the list I posted and it's at 2 hrs 40 m or 160 minutes but without intro or outdo music.

I didn't understand you "different versions" statement. I thought you merely meant there were different versions. Sadly, the Twilight Time Blu-ray has only part of the Overture for some odd reason.
