By the Gods!

Brigitte Nielsen in RED SONJA (1985)

Does anyone like this movie? I'm not trying to be facetious here but I've seen this movie countless of times and barely remember anything from it. It had a great director, Richard Fleischer, who directed THE VIKINGS (1958) and BARABBAS (1961), much older movies and yet I remember them quite well. It's a strange phenomenon. It expires from my mind as soon as I stop watching it. Arnold Schwarzenegger is billed as the main star but he actually has a supporting role more than anything else.

Let's not forget the mini-me prince kid and the bone-club protector guy. The problem is the same that so many superhero movies have...too many storylines going on at once with the weakest one as the main one, because the main one can't carry a whole movie by itself. And she could barely pick the sword up, it seemed, much less fight anybody with it.

I agree. And the 'mini-me prince' was annoying but the 'Annoying Sidekick' is a PEPUM cliche. It was also popular adding an annoying kid because of movies like INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM.
