By the Gods!

Hercules (Alan Steel) lifts a Roman soldier in HERCULES AGAINST ROME (1964)

How can a mortal man challenge Hercules? A favourite film of mine, with Alan in top 'Peplum' form: he clearly had fun making this movie.

Alan Steel is one of my fave Peplum actors. He always gives it a 100% and he always seems to have a whale of a time. Good-looking chap too!

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again.. ALAN STEEL is a muscle bear with a body that is the perfect representation of what strongmen looked like during ancient Greco Roman period!

He always fights with a smile on his face ... as though he's amused that lowly soldier bees would dare attack the powerful MACISTE! (Reg Park also grins when fighting)

Exactly what Richard Svensson said.

Alan Steel is my top favorite Pepla actor because he's great in his acting and always has a High on Life smile that makes you feel good just looking at it. He perfectly fits the Hercules "Huzzah" archetype.
