By the Gods!

Marilù Tolo and Franco Cobianchi in THE MAGNIFICENT GLADIATOR (1964)

Marilù was 20 years old when she filmed this. I'm always amazed by how young many actresses were when they got their careers started in the genre, and she's not the youngest ever to act in a PEPLUM film. Joan Collins was 22 when she made LAND OF THE PHARAOHS. And Christine Kaufmann was 14 when she starred in LAST DAYS OF POMPEII. Is this something unique of the genre itself? The one good aspect with acting at a younger age: today Marilù is still with us.
