By the Gods!

Gordon Scott and Rosalba Neri in CORIOLANUS : HERO  WITHOUT A COUNTRY (1964)

This is not the first movie the two actors made together. Personally, I think they worked well together and should have made more films as a couple. Rosalba can easily be voted as one of the Queens of the genre. Unfortunately, most of her roles were supportive ones, rarely lead ones, unlike Gianna Maria Canale who often had lead roles. This is one of the more serious production for Gordon Scott, who still flexes his muscles in a couple of action scenes. But this production is more drama than action. It's on my list of Fan Dubs to be made.

Thanks - I greatly look forward to seeing it.

Generally I prefer Peplums that have some roots in historical reality or classic legends to films with just lots of mindless muscleman stuff.

Rosalba Neri was a perfectly capable actress. She was always a welcome presence in Peplums.

Unfortunately many of her roles were in cheap European horror flicks (usually as the villainess) or in sexploitation movies like 99 WOMEN and THE ARENA.

European cinema should have made better use of her talent.

They're both fabulous in CONQUEST OF MYCENAE ... a.k.a. HERCULES AGAINST THE MOLOCH
