Photo of the Day

Darius (Roland Carey) woos Lydia (Maria Grazia Spina) in REVOLT OF THE BARBARIANS

Amazing how a nice copy of a film makes a big difference in the overall quality. This is one of the most underrated of the genre. No great shakes but entertaining and fully dedicated to the genre. Roland, like this film, is overlooked as a PEPLUM. He was great in THE GIANTS OF THESSALY. And Maria Grazia Spina made many a PEPLUM flick during the beginning of the 1960s. A familiar face that's always welcome to see in any film.

I agree not a bad PEP. The only problem I have with this movie is the enept use of stock footage. I think that the movie would best been served without the footage, otherwise the movie is fast paced and watchable.

Yes the stock footage always gets in the way but it is fast paced. Not boring.
