Repackaged French DVDs

old and new cover

A series of French DVDs of PEPLUM films have had a facelift. They were released 5 years ago with the boring covers with their distinctive red design. I have a couple of them. The image quality is excellent for the most part. They updated all their covers with vivid montages of scenes and actors from the film. A great upgrade. My favorite covers are SPARTACO, ULYSSES AGAINST HERCULES ALONE AGAINST ROME and certainly PERSEUS THE INVINCIBLE and SLAVE OF ROME which would make great posters on the wall. Hopefully the image quality of the films themselves have been upgraded as well. I'll be buying a couple of their titles.

SPARTACO - SINS OF ROME

REVOLT OF THE PRAERORIANS

FALL OF ROME

ULYSSES AGAINST HERCULES

SLAVE OF ROME

ALONE AGAINST ROME

SWORD OF DAMASCUS

PERSEUS THE INVINCIBLE

The covers look truly epic (as is fitting)! What language are these DVDs presented in?

Tjat reminds me to ask,
have you seen the Italian Import
dvd(region 2 encoding)released in 2011 of the film
Sigrido/Le chevalier blanc.
directed by
Giacomo Gentilomo.
It has Carlo Rambaldi's first movie creature that he made in it.
Fafnir the dragon. Its 46 feet long.
It strongly resembles the dragon in Fritz Lang's silent film classic
Die Nibelungen.
I think they should have used
a beefcake actor in the lead role however.Maybe more people would have known about that movie.
If you dont buy the dvd,I think you can see a clip of it on youtube.
