Created by Carlo Rambaldi. A very unique film from the PEPLUM genre. Most people these days would dismiss it as outdated. It's an eccentric film which is part of its charm.

If you dont mind me suggesting. It would be interesting if you did a screen grab of Fafnir the dragon in motion from fritz Lang's 1924 version of DIE NIBELUNGEN. there were at least 8 men inside of that one to make it work.
Another great dragon from 1956, was the flying 3-headed dragon in the movie Ilya Muromets (released in USA in 1959 as The Sword and the Dragon) It was directed by Alexandr Ptushko. Who had also directed Sadko aka The Magic Voyage of Sinbad,as well as Sampo released in the USA as The Day the Earth Froze. Those are terrific films. Two of which are available under their original Russian titles on dvd.and well worth watching. K.C
I just wanted to add one more thing to here. The original stop-motion animated puppet that was created and animated by Jim Danforth for the additional scenes of GOLIATH AND THE DRAGON.If you google the words "Danforth goliath dragon" in google images,you can see several photogrpahs of the original stop-motion anaimation dragon model at www.icollectors.com. It was up for auction in 2012Danforth had gifted it to Forrest J. Ackerman and it was on display at the Ackermansion for many years. it measures 24"x14"x8". Maybe you can scan those photographs of the model before they are removed from on-line eventually. Kenton C.

Charm is exactly what it has. I love Rambaldi's monsters. The clip K.C. recommended is very good for anyone who wants to see the dragon in action.
