Uranus statue in HERCULES & THE CAPTIVE WOMEN

This is a screenshot from an HD version I got a hold of recently. It's the most spectacular PEPLUM transfer I've ever seen. Truly dazzling. It's so sharp you can see the freckles on Reg Park's skin. IMO, the film should be tweaked a bit more to make it more sharp (tighter editing, some color correction, stuff like that) and re-release it on the big screen. It would be AMAZING. When it comes to spectacular, this film was way ahead of its time.

I wonder what happened to incredible statue. This set in CAPTIVE WOMEN is the biggest set from any Euro Sword & Sandal epics.

This is a magnificent set one of my favorites especially when the chariot with all those horses comes into this huge temple, and those huge doors at the entrance biggest that I can remember from any epic. Where was these scenes filmed at(Studio)??

Weren't these set later reused in "Hercules in the Hunted World"?

I have the good looking French DVD of this film. I wonder where you got the HD version!

No, scenes from this movie and HERCULES IN THE CENTER OF EARTH were used in HERCULES THE AVENGER. All starred Reg Park.

Well, Steve and Peakpasha are sorta right and wrong. ONLY the exterior Atlantis sets were used in some scenes in HERCULES IN THE HAUNTED WORLD. None of the interior sets, including this one with the statue, were used in it.

But, as Steve pointed out correctly, scenes from this film (and subsequently their sets) and scenes from HERCULES IN THE HAUNTED WORLD were re-used in HERCULES THE AVENGER.
