CLEOPATRA Day continues on PEPLUM TV. In the meantime, look at this color photo of the Rivoli with CLEOPATRA premiere. I'm assuming it's a premiere as the NBC truck wouldn't be there if it was an ordinary night.

This is indeed the premiere, Bert Parks/NBC interviewed various people, it was a live-broadcast during the Johnny Carson show. Parks asked Mankiewicz if he would personally be controlling the volume during the movie, to which Mankiewicz replied that at this point, everything involving Cleopatra was beyond control. If Parks got the joke he didn't show it, but Carson and his audience howled with laughter.
