The humour in Italian PEPLUM comedies usually gets lost in translation and this film is no different. I like it and it makes me smile and giggle but it's not laugh-out funny stuff. This is Bardot before she became the Bardot that everyone remembers.

I saw this and its quite amusing, if you like Sordi's mugging. Vittorio De Sica is good in it and silent star Gloria Swanson plays Sordi's mother and makes a great entrance all in red. BB is adorable as usual.
I've read so much about Swanson's performance in this, but have never seen a single photo of her in this film, so if someone has one could they please add it? Thanks...
