BEN-HUR vs BEN-HUR

Here's a visual comparison between the silent version of BEN-HUR starring Ramon Novarro as Ben-Hur and Francis X. Bushman as Messala and the big widescreen version starring Charlton Heston as Ben-Hur and Stephen Boyd as Messala. Here are just some key scenes. As you can see, the silent version was basically used as a template for the William Wyler epic.

The silent version and William Wyler version are almost identical and since this movie BEN HUR is my all time favorite I congratulate you on this really nice comparison that you did. Keep it going your site is definitely the best I've seen and I know you put a lot of hard work and research into this genre.

Thanks Orsulak.

I don't know how long I'll be able to continue but for now I enjoy doing. There's so much to cover, like the similarities between Ben-Hur films.
