This man was a great actor who could play any type of role. He was a true legend whom we all will miss dearly.

Ernie was a terrific actor & a very nice guy. I highly recommend his autobiography. It's breezy & fun, filled with some great stories on the making of his films & TV shows. He had a huge love for life & for being an actor.

P.S. - Just a quick note to mention the passing of Richard Lynch, in June. Richard was a great character actor & will be remembered by Peplum fans as the villain in "The Barbarians", with the Barbarian Brothers.

Barabbas was an interesting discovery for me last year, I somehow missed it on release. Its a great peplum with an astounding cast and even that real eclipse of the sun! Jack Palance steals it with that great scene in the arena - pure peplum, and one of Dino's best productions, great to look at and another great Nascimbene score.

The Vikings will always be one of my 50s favourites...
