My favorite two scenes are the heavy weight press-down-with-the-two-guys-underneath contained in Molemen, etc and the lift-the-heavy-rock-off-the-old-guy in the one where Kirk Morris visits Hell.
In that scene shown where Hercules is resisting painfully the two crushing walls filled with swords, he had met his match. Had the device used chains instead of weak rope, he would have been skewered for sure, and the queen would have been doubly turned-on.
This is one of the more ingenious situations in the realm of Peplum. What makes it even more so is that (spoiler alert!) it is actually a psych-out; the equivalent of a fake firing squad. Until that is revealed, the scene has some degree of suspense to it.
